Tom Pelissero of ESPN 1500 Twin Cities reports that Vikings RB Adrian Peterson ran last week for Head Coach Leslie Frazier who said Peterson โdid a great job,โ in his workout which comes just four months after knee surgery.
Peterson tore both his ACL and MCL late in the season. He was expected to be out for 9-12 months and possibly start the season on the PUP list, but four months later, Peterson has everyone โimpressedโ with his recovery.
โEverybody was impressed. Our trainer, Eric Sugarman, was really impressed with his movement and the things he was able to do. Heโs on schedule. Heโs doing well,โ said Frazier.
Peterson will still need more time to get back to being 100 percent, but this is certainly an encouraging sign.
โHe said, โHow fast should I go?โ Weโre trying to just judge movement, and he wants to run a 4.3 40. But he has to let that graft continue to heal. He understands that thereโs a time frame heโs working within, and so far, so good.โ
