Dolphins
Dolphins new OC Chad O’Shea says they’re still in the process of evaluating their quarterbacks at this time.
โWeโre still in the process of our evaluation of those players,โ OโShea said, via the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. โItโs an exciting part of the process to identify the players youโll be working with.โ
The expectation is that Miami will move on from Ryan Tannehill this offseason, but O’Shea said he has โtremendous respectโ for Tannehill.
- Dolphins DC Patrick Graham said they will employ both a 4-3 and 3-4 scheme this year and he will handle defensive play-calling duties. (Adam Beasley)
Josh Gordon
-
Ben Volin of the Boston Globe believes WR Josh Gordon will be back with the Patriots if he’s reinstated by the NFL.
-
Volin notes that NESN retracted the part of their report about the Patriots paying for Gordon’s rehab, and instead mentions that it’s being paid by the NFLPA.
Patriots
- Doug Kyed of NESN considers Adam Humphries to be the best fit for the Patriots in free agency at the receiver position. Although, Kyed admits that Golden Tate and Cole Beasley could also be fits.
-
Some other free agents Kyed thinks could make sense for New England include WR Jermaine Kearse, WR Jamison Crowder, TE Tyler Eifert, DE Markus Golden, DT Brent Urban, LB K.J. Wright and CB Jason Verrett.
-
In the event Trey Flowers prices himself out of New England, Kyed could see the Patriots signing DE Markus Golden and re-signing John Simon.
-
Kyed says the Patriots should attempt to re-sign WRs Cordarrelle Patterson and Phillip Dorsett, but only at a certain price point.
