AFC East Notes: Dolphins, Patriots, Josh Gordon

Dolphins

Dolphins new OC Chad Oโ€™Shea says theyโ€™re still in the process of evaluating their quarterbacks at this time.

โ€œWeโ€™re still in the process of our evaluation of those players,โ€ Oโ€™Shea said, via the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. โ€œItโ€™s an exciting part of the process to identify the players youโ€™ll be working with.โ€

The expectation is that Miami will move on from Ryan Tannehill this offseason, but Oโ€™Shea said he has โ€œtremendous respectโ€ for Tannehill.

  • Dolphins DC Patrick Graham said they will employ both a 4-3 and 3-4 scheme this year and he will handle defensive play-calling duties. (Adam Beasley)

Josh Gordon

  • Ben Volin of the Boston Globe believes WR Josh Gordon will be back with the Patriots if heโ€™s reinstated by the NFL.
  • Volin notes that NESN retracted the part of their report about the Patriots paying for Gordonโ€™s rehab, and instead mentions that itโ€™s being paid by the NFLPA.
