CBS Sports’ Mike Freeman reports that the Texans WR Andre Johnson could be out “a few weeks” after suffering a hamstring injury during the teams win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Freeman mentions that some within the Texans organization see Johnson’s chances of playing in next as “extremely slim.”
Johnson’s injury looked to be pretty severe as he fell to the ground despite not being touched which is always a worrisome sign when it comes to hamstring injuries.
Johnson will undergo an MRI sometime today which will hopefully clarify how much time he will miss. Houston will need some added production from Jacoby Jones and the rest of the teams receiving core for the time being.
