Aubrayo Franklin will sign his Franchise Tender

After sitting out training camp and majority of the preseason, ESPN’s Adam Schefter has reported that Aubrayo Franklin will accept his franchise tender of $7 million dollars and report to the team.

David White of the San Francisco Chronicle tweeted last week that Franklin planned on signing his tender this week. Franklins decision to join the team may have something to do with the emergence of Ricky Jean-Francois who has helped to solidify the defensive line during his absence. Now that 49er’s have Franklin back, Mike Singletary‘s defense gets that much deeper and stronger.
