- Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reported earlier in the day that the Bears wereย expected to re-signย Brittonย to a contract due to the injuries they sustained on their offensive line.
- Jeff Dickerson of ESPN Chicagoย reported Mondayย that Brittonย visited withย the Bears.
Britton, 26, is aย former second-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2009. He signed a one-year contract with the Bears this past April, but he wound up being released as they cut their roster down to 53 players a little over a week ago.
Last year, Britton appeared in 13 gamesย for the Bears, so they are obviously familial with what he brings to the table.ย Pro Football Focus has him down for playing 239 snaps last season, but they also have him rated as a solid run-blocker.
