Ian Rapoport reports that the Bears have signed Pro Bowl G Kyle Longย to aย ย four-year extension worth $40 million with another $30 million guaranteed.
- According to Rapoport, Long receives at least $23 million fully guaranteed as part of this deal.
Long, 27, ย was entering the third year ofย a four-year, $8,300,952 contract that included a $4,417,056 signing bonus. He was set to earn a base salary of $777,158 for 2016 to go along with $8.821 million in 2017.
In 2015, Long appeared in all 16 games for the Bears and accumulated 1,099 total snaps. Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 23 overall tackle out of 77 qualifying players.
