The Chicago Bears have placed OT Jordan Mills on waivers Monday, according to Pro Football Talk.

Mills, 24, is in the third year of his four-year, $2,324,800 rookie contract that included a $164,800 signing bonus. He stands to make a base salary of $585,000 for the 2015 season.

The Chicago Bears are released S Sherrod Martin on Sunday to make room for their new additions, according to Aaron Wilson.

Martin, 30, is a former second-round pick of the Panthers back in 2009. He wound up playing out his rookie contract with Carolina before signing on with Jaguars in December of 2013.

The Bears signed him to a one-year, $745,000 contract back in June.

In 2014, Martin appeared in 13 games and recorded 16 tackles, one interception, a forced fumble and two pass defenses for the Jaguars.
