Bears Hosting CB Marcus Cooper For Visit

Jeremy Fowler of ESPN is reporting that the Bears are hosting free agent CBย Marcus Cooper for a visit.

Cooper has been linked to the Steelers and Jets in recent days.

Cooper, 27, is a former seventh-round pick of the 49ers back in 2013. He was, unfortunately, unable to make the 49ers’ 53-man roster during his rookie season, but was later claimed off of waivers by the Chiefs.

Last year, the Chiefs traded Cooper to the Cardinals in return forย a conditional 2018 seventh-roundย pick.

Cooper played out the final year of his four-year, $2.205 million contract and is now in aย position to be an unrestricted free agent.

In 2016, Cooper appeared in 15 games for the Cardinals recorded 69 tackles, four interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown and 11 pass defenses.
