Bears Place DL Ego Ferguson On Season-Ending I.R.

The Chicago Bears announced Saturday that theyโ€™ve placed DL Ego Ferguson on season-ending injured reserve and signed DT Bruce Gaston off of the Packersโ€™ practice squad.

Brad Biggs notes that Ferguson is dealing with a knee injury, which led to him being placed on I.R.

Ferguson, 24, was taken in the second round of last yearโ€™s NFL draft. Heโ€™s in the second year of his four-year, $4,113,203 rookie contract that included $1,918,384 guaranteed, and will make a base salary of $606,964 for the 2015 season.

Fergusonโ€™s 2015 season ends with him recording three tackles over the course of four games.
