The Chicago Bears announced Saturday that they’ve placed DL Ego Ferguson on season-ending injured reserve and signed DT Bruce Gaston off of the Packers’ practice squad.

Brad Biggs notes thatย Ferguson is dealing with a knee injury, which led to him being placed on I.R.
Ferguson,ย 24, was taken in the second round of last year’s NFL draft. He’s in the second year of his four-year, $4,113,203 rookie contractย that includedย $1,918,384 guaranteed, and will make a base salary ofย $606,964 for the 2015 season.
Ferguson’s 2015 season ends with him recording three tackles over the course of fourย games.
