Bears Place LB Danny Trevathan, Promote DB Michael Joseph

The Chicago Bears announced Wednesday that they’ve placed LB Danny Trevathan on injured reserve and promoted DB Michael Joseph to their active roster.

  • The Bears signed WR Alex Wesley to the practice squad.

Here’s the Bears updated practice squad:

  2. WR Thomas Ives
  3. OL Sam Mustipher
  4. QB Tyler Bray
  5. TE Dax Raymond
  6. LB Fadol Brown (Injured)
  7. T Dino Boyd
  8. LB James Vaughters
  9. WR Reggie Davis
  10. WR Alex Wesley

Trevathan, 29, is a former sixth-round pick of the Broncos back in 2012. After four years in Denver, Trevathan signed a four-year, $24.5 million contract that includes $12 million guaranteed with the Bears.

Trevathan is in line to be an unrestricted free agent in 2020. 

In 2019, Trevathan appeared in nine games for the Bears and recorded 70 tackles, one sack, a forced fumble and a pass defense.
