The Chicago Bears announced Friday that they’ve signed CFL WR Jordan Williams-Lambert to a futures contract for the 2019 season.
As of now, the Bears have signed 14 players to futures deals including:

- DBย John Franklin III

- WR Cyril Grayson
- DBย Michael Joseph
- DBย Jonathon Mincy

- LBย Josh Woods
- G Willie Beavers
- WRย Jordan Williams-Lambert
Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.
Williams-Lambert, 24, wound up signing on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Ball State back in 2016. He was waived a few months later, but signed on to the Saints’ practice squad after clearing waivers.
New Orleans brought him back on a futures contract for the 2017ย season. However, he was later waived with an injury settlement.
Williams-Lambert signed on with theย Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL for the 2018 season.
In 2018, Williams-Lambert caught 62 passes for 764 yards receiving and four touchdowns over the course of 17 games.
