Bears Sign Four Including OT Jason Spriggs

Dan Graziano of ESPN reports that the Bears are signing OT Jason Spriggs to a one-year contract on Friday.

The Bears have confirmed the news and announced that they’ve re-signed exclusive rights free agents OL Rashaad Coward and TE J.P. Holtz and also added K Ramiz Ahmed on a one-year deal.

Spriggs, 25, is a former second-round pick of the Packers back in 2016. He played out the final year of his four-year, $5.004 million contract and made a base salary of $1.13 million for the 2019 season.

Unfortunately, Spriggs spent the 2019 season on injured reserve after he was waived with an injury designation coming out of the preseason.

Spriggs has been testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

For his career, Spriggs appeared in 36 games for the Packers, making nine starts for them over the course of three seasons.
