The Chicago Bears announced Sunday that they’ve waived four players including K Redford Jones, K John Baron II, DB Adarius Pickett and DE Lawrence Marshall.
The Bears also signed two undrafted free agents who tried out for the team during their rookie minicamp including OL Tommy Doles and DE Jalen Dalton.
Chicago had four kickers on their active roster, but it appears as though they plan to move forward with Elliott Fry and Chris Blewitt as they prepare for OTAs.
Jones, 24, wound up going undrafted out of Tulsa back in 2017. He never caught on with an NFL team during the season but signed a futures contract with the Bears back in January.
During his college career at Tulsa, Jones converted 50 of 67 field goal attempts (74.6 percent) to go along with 169 of 172 extra point tries (98.3 percent) over the course of three seasons and 38 games.
