The Chicago Bears have announced that Jason Campbell will be their starting quarterback when they take on the 49ers Monday night.
Jay Cutler suffered a concussion during Week 10’s loss to the Texans and hasn’t been able to return to the practice field this week.
“There is not a whole lot I can say. He is getting better,” said head coach Lovie Smith on Thursday. “Donโt know if heโll be able to go this week.”
Campbell will obviously have his work cut out for him against one of the best defensive units in the league. The fact that they’re on the road only complicates matters further, but Chicago brings with them a very stout defense as well, so they’ll need another strong performance from Brian Urlacher and company.
