Bears Worked Out 4 DBs Including Robert McClain & Brandian Ross

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Bears brought inย defensive backs Ri’Shard Anderson, Robert McClain, Brandian Ross, and Pierre Warren for workouts this week.

McClain, 27, is a former seventh round pick of the Panthers back in 2010. He lasted just over a year in Carolina before he was waived at the start of the 2011 season.

Since then, McClain has played for the Jaguars and Falcons before joining the Patriots as an unrestricted free agent this past March.ย Unfortunately for McClain, he was among the Patriotsโ€™ roster cutsย at the start of the season.

In 2014, McClain appeared inย all 16 games for the Falcons and recorded 59 tackles, one sack, two interceptions, and five pass defenses.ย Pro Football Focusย has him rated as the No. 90ย cornerbackย out of 108ย qualifying players.

Ross, 25, originally signed on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Youngstown Stateย back in 2011. Since then, Ross has played for theย Raiders and Dolphins before later returning to Oakland after he was claimed off of waivers from Miami.

The Raiders wound up re-signing to a restricted deal worth $1.542 million back in April, but he was later released from their injured reserve list.

In 2014, Ross appeared in 14 games for the Raiders and recorded 55 tackles, two interceptions, a forced fumble and six pass defenses.
