Bears Worked Out 4 Players Including DE Rufus Johnson & LB Deiontrez Mount

According to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post, the Bears brought in four players for workouts on Tuesday including: DE  Jimmy Bean, DE Rufus Johnson, LB Deiontrez Mount, and LB Jermauria Rasco.

Johnson, 26, is a former sixth-round pick of the Saints back in 2013. He spent just over a year in New Orleans before he was waived at the start of the season.

The Patriots later signed him to future/reserve contracts in each of the next two seasons before releasing him a few weeks ago.

In 2015, Johnson appeared in one game for New England and recorded just one tackle.

Mount, 23, was taken in the sixth round of last yearโ€™s NFL draft. He was in the final year of his four-year, $2.428 million rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $525,000 when the Titans cut him loose a few weeks ago.

Mount has worked out for the Jets and Bengals since becoming available.

In 2015, Mount appeared in four games for the Titans and recorded an interception and a pass defense before being placed on season-ending injured reserve.
