Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Bengals have narrowed their focus to hiring Florida DC Todd Grantham as their defensive coordinator under new HC Zac Taylor.
According to Rapoport, the two sides are continuing to meet on Wednesday with Cincinnati hoping to close the deal.
Grantham, 52, began his coaching career back in 1990 at Virginia Tech. After a few years at Michigan State, Grantham took his first NFL coaching job with the Colts and would go on to work for the Texans, Browns and Cowboys.
Grantham returned to college for the 2010 season as the assistant HC/defensive coordinator at Georgia. He had stints with Louisville and Mississippi State before Florida hired him as their defensive coordinator last year.
