Bengals Promote DB Brandon Wilson

According to Mark Berman, the Bengals promoted DB Brandon Wilson from their practice squad to their active roster.

Wilson, 23, was drafted in the sixth-round of this year’s draft out of Houston by the Bengals. He is in the first year of a four-year, $2.5 million rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $465,000 this season.

The Bengals waived him as they trimmed their roster down to the 53-man limit and signed him to their practice squad once he cleared waivers.

During his four-year college career, Wilson recorded 138 total tackles, six tackles for loss, two sacks, two interceptions, 15 pass defenses, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and scored two defensive touchdowns.
