Bengals Sign TE Kevin Brock, Place TE Alex Smith On I.R.

Update:

The Bengals placed veteran TE Alex Smith on season-ending injured reserve, which explains the signing of TE Kevin Brockper Aaron Wilson.

The Cincinnati Bengals have signed TE Kevin Brock to a contract, according to his agent Dennis Boyev.

Brock, 28, signed with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of Rutgers back in 2009. Since then, Brock has bounced around quite a bit, playing for the Jets, Steelers, Bears, Cowboys, Raiders, Bills and Chiefs.

Cincinnati actually signed Brock to a contract in December of last year, but he was unfortunately among their final roster cuts as they trimmed their team down to 53 players a few weeks ago.

Last year, Brock appeared in 4 games and caught three passes for 36 yards.
