Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that free agent CB Kevin Johnson is scheduled to visit with the Browns on Thursday after wrapping up his meeting with the Bills.
Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that the bills are hosting former Texans CB Kevin Johnson for a visit on Wednesday.
The Bills are active in the street free agent market and are reportedly meeting with TE Dwayne Allen today.
It’s worth mentioning that signing him to a contract won’t impact a team’s 2019 compensatory picks, given that he was released this offseason.
Johnson, 26, is a former first-round pick out of Wake Forest by the Texans in the 2015 NFL Draft. He was entering the final year of his four-year, $10.04 million rookie contract when the Texans picked up his fifth-year option last year.
Johnson was owed $9.1 million under his fifth-year option, but the Texans made the decision to release him on Tuesday.
In 2018, Johnson was limited to appearing in one game and recorded four tackles and no interceptions for the Texans before he was placed on injured reserve with a concussion.
