Bills Sign QB Derek Anderson To One-Year Extension

The Buffalo Bills announced Monday that they’ve signed QB Derek Anderson to a one-year extension.

Anderson, 35, is a former sixth-round pick of the Ravens back in 2005. He lasted just a few months in Baltimore before he was claimed off of waivers by the Browns.

Anderson spent five years with the Browns before joining the Cardinals in 2010. Anderson has since spent the past seven years as the Panthers’ backup to Cam Newton. The Bills signed him to a contract back in October.

In 2018, Anderson appeared in two games for the Bills and completed 60 percent of his passes for 465 yards, no touchdowns and four interceptions.
