Bills Worked Out 9 Players Including S Antone Exum

According to Howard Balzer, the Buffalo Bills brought in nine free agents for workouts on Tuesday, including Ss Antone Exum and Lonnie Ballentine.

The full list of tryouts for Buffalo includes:

  1. S Lonnie Ballentine
  2. S Jordan Dangerfield
  3. S Antone Exum
  4. S Harold Jones-Quartey
  5. TE Evan Baylis
  6. TE Sam Cotton
  7. TE Ryan O’Malley
  8. LB Folarin Orimolade
  9. C Adam Redmond

Of this group, the Bills signed Redmond and O’Malley to their practice squad.

Exum, 26, is a former sixth-round pick by the Vikings in the 2014 NFL Draft. He was entering the final year of a four-year, $2,335,788 rookie contract and was set to make a base salary of $690,000 for the 2017 season when the team waived him.

Exum landed on Minnesota’s injured reserve in 2015 with injuries to his ribs and hips, while he missed all of last year with a leg injury.

In 2015, Exum appeared in 12 games and recorded 13 tackles, two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble for the Vikings.

Ballentine, 24, was taken in the seventh round of the 2014 NFL draft by the Texans. He was in the final year of his four-year, $2,265,896 rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $690,000 for the 2017 season when Houston waived him.

Ballentine’s 2015 season came to an end after dislocating his left knee and tearing his MCL and PCL.

The Texans activated Ballentine from the PUP list during the 2016 season only to place him on injured reserve in November.

In 2016, Ballentine appeared in two games but did not record a statistic.
