Cardinals HC Bruce Arians announced Monday that Blaine Gabbert will get another start in Week 12 while Drew Stanton continues to work his way back from a knee injury, per Darren Urban.
Reports previously mentioned that Stanton could miss a few weeks with this injury, so it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to hear that Gabbert will remain the team’s starter for another week.
Gabbert, 28, is a former first-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2010. After three years in Jacksonville, he was traded to the 49ers in return for a sixth-round pick back in March of 2014.
Gabbert played out the final year of his two-year, $4 million contract before eventually signing a one-year, $855,000 contract with the Cardinals this past May.
In 2017, Gabbert has appeared in one game for the Cardinals and completed 22-of-34 passes for 257 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions.
