Adam Teicher of the Kansas City Star reports that Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel is hopeful that CB Brandon Flowers will be ready for their season opener.
Flowers has been dealing with a heel injury since the first few days of training camp and as a result, did not participate in any preseason games, mainly because there were not willing to risk their starting cornerback.
The Chiefs would be willing to start Flowers if he shows that he is at 100%,ย , even though he hasn’t played in a game for months. The Chiefs are expected to go withย Jalil Brownย in his place.
