The Bengals are releasing veteran DE Michael Johnson on Saturday.
Johnson, 31, was entering the final year of his four-year, $20 million contract that included a $4.5 million signing bonus and was set to earn a base salary of $4.55 million this season.
According to OverTheCap.com, Cincinnati creates $4,987,500 in available cap space by releasing him, while taking $1,125,000 in dead money.
In 2017, Johnson appeared in all 16 games for the Bengals and recorded 49 total tackles and five sacks.
