Adam Schefter reports that the Ravens are signing free agent WR Michael Crabtree to a three-year contract.
- According to Ian Rapoport, Crabtree gets a three-year, $21 million contract with $15 million being paid out over the first two years of the agreement to go along with $11 million guaranteed.
It was clear that the Ravens were the team to beat for Crabtree, especially after they backed out of their deal with WR Ryan Grant on Thursday.
It’s worth mentioning that signing Crabtree to a contract won’t impact a team’s 2019 compensatory picks, given that he was released this offseason.
Crabtree, 30, is a former first-round pick of the 49ers back in 2009. He spent six years in San Francisco before signing on with the Raiders in 2015.
Crabtree was entering the fourth year of his five-year, $34 million contract that included $19 million guaranteed when the Raiders released him in a move that freed up$7,687,500 of available cap space.
In 2017, Crabtree appeared in 14 games and caught 58 passes for 618 yards receiving and eight touchdowns for the Raiders.ย Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 62 receiver out of 116 qualifying players.
