Steelers Trade WR Martavis Bryant To Raiders

The Steelers announced that they have traded WR Martavis Bryant to the Raiders in exchange for the No. 79 overall pick in the third round of this year’s 2018 NFL Draft.

The Raiders part ways with the No. 79 overall pick of the third round after acquiring the selection from the Cardinals when they traded down from No. 10.

Earlier today,ย Dan Graziano of ESPNย reported that the Steelers have been “quietly listening to offers” for Bryant over the past few months and that it would require a “good offer” to acquire him.

Bryant, 26, was selected by the Steelers in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL draft. He’s entering the final year of his four-year, $2.7 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season.

Bryant was suspended for the entire 2016 season forย violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy and returned to the team coming out of the preseason last year.

In 2017, Bryant appeared in 15 games for the Steelers and caught 50 passes for 603 yards receiving and three touchdowns. He also rushed for 22 yards and totaled 151 kick return yards.ย Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 47 receiver out of 116 qualifying players.
