Update:

The Vikings have already confirmed that they’re waiving K Blair Walsh.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Vikings have placed K Blair Walsh on waivers Tuesday.

It was clear that a change could be coming after Vikings HC Mike Zimmer wouldn’t give Walsh a vote of confidence on Monday.

Minnesota brought in a number of Vikings last week for tryouts including Travis Coons, Randy Bullock, Kai Forbath, Zach Hocker, Marshall Koehn and Aldrick Rosas, so these are players to keep an eye on this week.

Walsh, 26, is a former sixth-round pick of the Vikings back in 2012. He’s currently in the second year of his five-year, $13.66 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $1.15 million for the 2016 season.

In 2016, Walsh has appeared in nine games and converted 12 of 16 field goal attempts (75 percent) to go along with 15 of 19 extra point tries (78.9 percent) and 19 touchbacks.
