Peter King of SI.com reports that Brett Favre has received lubricant injections into the joint of his ankle which shows how far along his recovery is.
Favre mentioned that during his surgery with Dr Andrews, he had a whole cup of bone and other material removed. Favre doesn’t seem to be as confident this season as he was last year which may indicate that he has concerns about his repaired ankle.
Favre added that: “I don’t know. I have no idea, really,” Favre told King. “My ankle just seems to get easier to sprain. I know everyone thinks the New Orleans game killed me, but it was bad before then. Now we’ll see if I can make it. My mind’s telling me one thing, but my body’s telling me something else.”
