ESPN’s Chris Mortensen is reporting that Brett Favre underwent an MRI today which revealed that he has two fractures to his ankle but the injury will not requireย surgery. Instead, Favre has had boot placed over the injury to try get it in game shape for this weekends game against New England.
Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress has already said that he plans on doing “what’s right for the Minnesota Vikings” even if that means that Favre’s streak will have to come to an end. As of now Childress hasn’t ruled him out for Sunday’s game.
Following last nights loss to the Packers, Childress expressed his frustration with Favre’s decision making and even considered benching him during the game. The relationship between Favre and Childress has been reported to be rather rocky all the way back to last season so if the season continues to progress as it has there could be even more drama on the way for Minnesota.
