The Denver Broncos have elevated LB Josh Watson and OT Jake Rodgers to their active roster for Week 4’s game against the Jets, according to Mike Klis.
Both players will revert back to the practice squad on Tuesday without having to clear waivers.
Watson, 24, wound up going undrafted out of Colorado State back in 2019. He signed a three-year, $1.755 million contract with the Broncos but was waived coming out of the preseason and later re-signed to the team’s practice squad.
Denver once again cut Watson this past September and re-signed him to the taxi squad.
During his college career at Colorado State, Watson recorded 365 tackles, 3.5 sacks, two interceptions, a forced fumble, two recoveries, two interceptions and 11 passes defended over the course of four seasons and 49 games.
