Broncos Re-Signing RB David Williams, Waiving OL Nathan Jacobson

Update:

According to Ryan O’Halloran, the Broncos are, in fact, signing RB David Williams to a contract and waiving OL Nathan Jacobson in a corresponding move.

Mike Klis reports that the Broncos plan to re-sign RB David Williams to a contract if he passes a physical for the team.

According to Klis, Williams is currently in the Broncos’ building.

Williams, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Broncos back in 2018. He agreed to a four-year, $2,553,980 contract with the Broncos that included a $93,980 signing bonus.

However, the Broncos waived him coming out of the preseason and later signed him to their practice squad. The Jaguars added him to their active roster midseason and he finished out the year in Jacksonville.

Unfortunately, the Jaguars cut Williams loose shortly after this year’s draft.

In 2018, Williams appeared in six games for the Jaguars and rushed for 36 yards on eight carries (4.5 YPC).
