Ian Rapoport reports that while the Giants have been set on using the No. 2 overall pick, he’s hearing that the Broncos are expected to explore the possibility of trading up from No. 5 overall with New York for a quarterback.
- According to Rapoport, Sam Darnold could be their guy, but John Elway has reportedly spent more time with Josh Allen than any QB in this draft.
We still don’t know who the Browns will take at No. 1 overall, but reports have said all that they will go with Baker Mayfield.
This is speculation on my part, but it’s possible that the Broncos could be looking to grab USC QB Sam Darnold before the Jets pick at No. 3.
Denver has been connected to Darnold along with other quarterbacks such as Mayfield and Josh Allen during the draft process.
Beyond that, the Giants have made it clear that they would be willing to trade down if they didn’t have to move back too far.
