Broncos Officially Waive P Marquette King From Injured Reserve

Mike Klis reports that the Broncos have officially waived P Marquette King from injured reserve on Friday.

The Broncos placed King on injured reserve last month with an abductor injury. However, the expectation was that Denver was going to release once he was healthy, so this shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.

King, 29, originally signed by the Raiders as an undrafted free agent of Fort Valley State back in 2012. He was in the third year of his five-year, $16.5 million contract that included $7.75 million guaranteed when the Raiders cut him loose during the offseason.

King later signed a three-year, $7 million contract with the Broncos.

In 2018, King appeared in four games for the Broncos and totaled 814 punt yards on 20 attempts and one touchback.
