The Denver Broncos have placed RB Phillip Lindsay and WR Andre Holmes on injured reserve Friday, according to Mike Klis.
- Nicki Jhabvala reports that theย Broncos are signings OLB Aaron Wallace and CB Horace Richardson.
Lindsay, 24, wound up signing on with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Colorado back in May. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 million contract and managed to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason.
Lindsay was selected as part of the AFC Pro Bowl team.
In 2018, Lindsay rushed for 1,037 yards on 1092 carries (5.4 YPC) to go along with 35 receptions for 241 yards receiving and 10 total touchdowns. He also contributed 186 kick and punt return yards.
Holmes, 30, originally signed on with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Hillsdale back in 2011. He lasted just a month in Minnesota before catching on with the Cowboys at the start of the season when he signed to their practice squad.
After a brief stint with the Patriots, Holmes was claimed off waivers by the Raiders and spent four years in Oakland before signing aย three-year, $5.15 million contract with the Bills last year.
The Bills waived Holmes a few weeks ago and he was later claimed by the Broncos.
In 2018, Holmes appeared in 15 games for the Bills and Broncos and caught 13 passes for 162 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
