Broncos Re-Sign ERFAs Shaq Barrett, Zaire Anderson & James Ferentz

The Denver Broncos announced that they’ve re-signed exclusive rights free agent LB Zaire Anderson, OLB Shaq Barrett and C James Ferentz on Monday.

These players will all receive one-year deals worth $615,000 for the 2017 season.

Barrett, 24, wound up signing on with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Colorado State back in 2014. He was on and off of their practice squad during his rookie season but managed to make the 53-man roster in each of the past two seasons.

In 2016, Barrett appeared in all 16 games for the Broncos and recorded 36 tackles, 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble and two pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 28 edge defender out of 109 qualifying players.
