McDonald, 31, is a former seventh-round pick of the Bengals back in 2009. He lasted just a few years in Cincinnati before catching on with the Seahawks for the 2011 season.
After three years in Seattle, the Buccaneers signed him to a contract and he’s spent the past four years in Tampa Bay. The Broncos signed McDonald to a two-year, $7 million contract this offseason.
McDonald and Denver also agreed to a $3 million pay cut in June, but that was not enough to keep him on the team.
In 2017, McDonald appeared in 14 games for the Buccaneers and recorded 29 tackles, five sacks and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 111 interior defender out of 122 qualifying players.
