Broncos Released DT Marvin Austin From Injured Reserve

The Denver Broncos officially released DT Marvin Austin from injured reserve on Tuesday, according to the NFL transactions release.

Austin, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Giants back in 2011. He struggled to stay healthy during his time in New York, which ultimately led to him being waived at the start of the 2013 season.

Austin later signed on with the Dolphins before joining the Cowboys in October of 2013. Denver wound up signing him to a contract shortly after last year’s NFL Draft, but later placed him on injured reserve a few weeks into the preseason.

In 2014, Austin appeared in 15 games for the Broncos and recorded 12 tackles.
