Mike Klis reports that the Broncos have signed FB Andy Janovich to a three-year extension on Friday that will keep him under team control through the 2022 season.
According to Klis, this new contract makes Janovich the third-highest paid in the NFL.
Ian Rapoport mentions that Janovich’s extension is worth $5.7 million for an average salary of $1.9 million. He receives a signing bonus of $1.35 million and total guarantees of $3.22 million.
Janovich, 26, is a former sixth-round pick of the Broncos back in 2016. He was in the final year of his four-year, $2.5 million contract that included a $164,309 signing bonus and stands to make a base salary of $720,000 for the 2019 season.
Janovich was in line to be an unrestricted free agent in 2020.
In 2019, Janovich has appeared in two games, but has yet to have a carry or catch a pass.
