Broncos Sign WR Marlon Brown, Waive CB Taurean Nixon

The Denver Broncos announced Monday that they’ve signed WR Marlon Brown to a contract and placed CB Taurean Nixon on waivers.

  • According to Nick Jhabvala, the Broncos are signing Brown to a two-year deal.

Brown, 25, wound up signing on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia back in 2013. The Ravens elected to not tender him a restricted offer, but later re-signed him to a one-year, $675,000 contract back in March.

Unfortunately, Brown’s 2015 season ended after he suffered a back injury during Week 11 and was subsequently placed on season-ending injured reserve. Baltimore later waived him a few weeks after this year’s draft.

Brown signed on with the Broncos in July but lasted just a few weeks with the team.

In 2015, Brown appeared in 10 games for the Ravens and recorded 14 receptions for 112 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
