Broncos Signing DT Christian Covington For One Year, Up To $1.75M

According to Adam Caplan, the Broncos are signing DT Christian Covington to a one-year deal worth up to $1.75 million.

Caplan adds $625,000 of Covington’s salary will be guaranteed. 

Covington, 26, is a former sixth-round pick of the Texans back in 2015. He signed a four-year, $2,370,484 contract and made base salaries of $615,000 and $705,000 over the final two years of the agreement.

Covington signed with the Dallas Cowboys last year on a one-year deal as an unrestricted free agent. 

In 2019, Covington appeared in all 16 games for the Cowboys, recording 28 total tackles, one sack and one pass defense.
