Broncos Signing Former Bills RB Jonathan Williams To Practice Squad

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Broncos are signing former Bills RB Jonathan Williams to their practice squad on Tuesday.

  • According to Rapoport, the Broncos are paying Williams a staggering $510,000 salary while on the practice squad.

The Broncos’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. S Dymonte Thomas
  2. NT Tyrique Jarrett
  3. CB Marcus Rios
  4. OT Elijah Wilkinson
  5. ILB Jerrol Garcia-Williams
  6. OLB Deiontrez Mount
  7. WR Hunter Sharp
  8. C Dillon Day
  9. TE Austin Traylor
  10. RB Jonathan Williams

Williams, 23, is a former fifth-round pick of the Bills back in 2016. He was in the second year of his four-year, $2.58 million contract and set to make base salaries of $540,000, $630,000, and $720,000 over the next three years when the Bills waived him on Sunday.

In 2016, Williams appeared in 10 games and rushed for 94 yards on 27 carries (3.5 YPC) and one touchdown.
