According to Pro Football Talk, the Broncos are signing P Justin Vogel to the roster.
Ian Rapoport adds that the Broncos are waiving K Taylor Bertolet, which of course means that Brandon McManus will be their starting kicker this year.
Vogel had previously worked out for the Vikings this offseason.
Vogel, 25, wound up signing on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Miami back in 2017. He was in the second year of his three-year, $1.66 million contract when the Packers waived him last May.
Vogel was claimed off of waivers by the Browns. Unfortunately, Cleveland loose coming out of the preseason. He signed on with the 49ers in March, but was once again waived a month later.
In 2017, Vogel appeared in all 16 games for the Packers and totaled 2,991 yards on 71 attempts (42.12 YPA) to go along with two touchbacks.
Bertolet, 26, originally signed a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M back in 2016. He was waived by the Rams coming out of the preseason.
After sitting out the 2016 and 2017 seasons, Bertolet signed a one-year contract with the Broncos last year but was unfortunately waived after the draft. He had a brief stint with the Jets before being cut loose at the start of the regular season.
Bertolet signed on with the Broncos back in April.
At Texas A&M, Bertolet converted 37 of 56 field goal attempts (66.1 percent) to go along with 128 of 138 extra point attempts (92.8 percent) over the course of three seasons and 32 games.
