According to Aaron Wilson, the Broncos worked out five cornerbacks on Tuesday including CB David Amerson.
The full list of tryouts includes:
- CB David Amerson
- CB Chris Campbell
- CB Deatrick Nichols
- CB Coty Sensabaugh
- CB Shareece Wright
Of this group, the Broncos signed Sensabaugh to their active roster. (NFLTR)
Amerson, 27, is a former second-round pick of the Redskins back in 2013. Washington waived him during the 2015 season and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Redskins.
Amerson signed a four-year, $38 million extension with close to $18 million guaranteed with the Raiders back in 2016. However, he was released a year later.
From there, Amerson signed on with the Chiefs and returned to Kansas City the following year, but was released coming out of the preseason. The Cardinals later signed him to a contract this offseason before releasing him in June.
The 49ers also worked out Amerson last week, but he left San Francisco without a contract.
In 2018, Amerson appeared in six games for the Cardinals and recorded 21 tackles, one interception and two pass defenses.
Sensabaugh, 30, is a former fourth-round pick of the Titans back in 2012. He wound up signing a three-year, $14 million contract that included $6.5 million guaranteed with the Rams back in March of 2016 but was, unfortunately, cut loose during the season.
Sensabaugh wound up signing on with the Giants soon after and finished out the year in New York. Sensabaugh signed a two-year, $2.6 million contract with the Steelers in 2017 and finished out his deal with Pittsburgh.
The 49ers also worked out Sensabaugh last week.
In 2018, Sensabaugh appeared in 15 games for the Steelers and Giants and recorded 45 total tackles, no interceptions, a forced fumble and six pass defenses.
