Update:
Nate Ulrich confirms that Browns S Morgan Burnett is, in fact, out for the season with an Achilles tear.
Browns veteran S Morgan Burnett is believed to have suffered a season-ending Achilles tear during Thursday’s game, according to Ian Rapoport.
Should further tests confirm, you can expect the Browns to place Burnett on injured reserve in the coming days and add someone to their roster.
Burnett, 30, is a former third-round pick of the Packers back in 2010. He’s played eight seasons for the Packers before agreeing to a three-year contract worth close to $14.5 million with the Steelers last year.
Pittsburgh cut Burnett loose during the offseason and he later signed a two-year contract worth up $9 million with $4 million fully guaranteed at signing.
In 2019, Burnett appeared in 10 games for the Browns and recorded 41 tackles, two sacks, and an interception.
