Browns LB Mack Wilson Expected To Miss 4-6 Weeks

Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports that the current expectation for Browns LB Mack Wilson is that he will not require surgery for his hyperextended knee.

This means that, barring a change, Brown is facing a timetable of four to six weeks, according to Fowler, before he’s able to return. This will ultimately depend on how his knee responds.

The Browns had Wilson working with the second-team unit a few weeks ago when he suffered a left leg injury and was carted off the field.

Wilson, 22, is a former fifth-round pick by the Browns in the 2019 NFL Draft out of Alabama. He is entering the second year of his four-year, $2.8 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $675,000 for the 2020 season.

In 2019, Wilson appeared all 16 games for the Browns and recorded 82 tackles, one sack, an interception, a forced fumble and seven passes defended.
