ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported on Monday Night Countdown that Browns LB Scott Fujita is dealing with a neck injury that team doctors believe could force him to retire.
Fujita was inactive against the Bengals, after he was placed on the Browns injury report with both neck and shoulder injuries. This is a huge blow to a Browns defense that lacks play-makers outside of CB Joe Haden. Rookie LB James-Michael Johnson will most likely replace Fujita in the starting lineup until he knows more about his situation.
It’s been a very difficult year for a player who is very respected in the NFL.
