Browns Promote DT Brandin Bryant & DE Porter Gustin To Active Roster

The Cleveland Browns announced Friday that they’ve promoted DT Brandin Bryant and DE Porter Gustin to their active roster.

Cleveland obviously needed some depth upfront with DE Myles Garrett and DL Larry Ogunjobi suspended.

Bryant, 26, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Florida Atlantic back in 2016r. However, he was unfortunately among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

The Jets signed Bryant to their practice squad during the season before eventually waiving him with a settlement. The Browns later signed him to a contract this past August and added him to their practice squad at the start of the season.

During his college career at FAU, Bryant recorded 121 tackles, 25 tackles for a loss, 9.5 sacks, two pass defenses and a forced fumble over the course of four seasons.
