Browns Release C Kyle Friend

The Browns announced Monday they released C Kyle Friend.

Friend, 25, originally signed on with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Temple back in 2016. He lasted less than a year in New York before the Steelers signed him off of the Jets’ practice squad.

Friend had a brief stint with the Panthers in 2018 before signing on to the Cardinals’ practice squad in October. He was waived and later signed to the Browns practice squad in December.

The Browns signed Friend to a futures deal at the beginning of 2019.

Friend has yet to appear in an NFL game.
