Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports that new Browns HC Kevin Stefanski plans to retain RBs coach Stump Mitchell.
Cabot notes that Mitchell did a great job with the team’s running backs including Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt and Stefanski wants to continue to build on their 2019 success.
Mitchell, 59, played 10 seasons in the NFL before getting into coaching in 1993. He took his first NFL coaching job with the Seahawks as their RBs coach in 1999.
Mitchell worked for the Redskins and Cardinals as their RBs coach before he was hired by the Jets through 2017-2018. The Browns hired him as their running backs coach last year.
